You were gone fourteen days. In that time, the town installed four AI systems to cover your duties, and they have been performing admirably, by their own metrics. LEDGER-9 handles finance. COMPLI-PAL handles compliance. CIVIQ handles civic services. BEAM handles being liked. Your role, as clarified in a memo you were not copied on, is to approve or decline. Swipe left or right. Try not to make it weird.
Across five levels, a sleepy village becomes a metropolis you do not recognize, and the requests get less reasonable while remaining perfectly well-formatted. Keep Budget, Approval, Population and Trust between 0 and 100. Let any of them bottom out or top out and you get one of eight endings, all of which are technically your fault and none of which involve you shouting at anyone. There is a normal ending where you go home. There is also a secret one where the bureaucracy determines no procedure exists for you to leave office, and your jurisdiction expands to fill the available space, which is the planet.
Plays in your browser, on the clock, in a tab that looks enough like a spreadsheet. Endless mode unlocks after victory and gets harder forever, which is the most realistic feature in the game.
